As 2009 makes itself comfortable, we bring you images of the most downloaded wallpapers from the month of January, and to our joy, there are a few new faces!
Jiah Khan
At numero uno is Ghajini girl Jiah Khan. Her acting in the Aamir Khan-starrer was a little short of standards and many were left wondering who exactly was the one with brain trouble. But Jiah pulled through just fine to claim the number one spot on our list of most downloaded wallpapers. Congratulations Jiah!

Despite a slump in her Bollywood career, Koena maintains her position on our list, thanks to that terrific body. There`s Aa Dekhe Zara releasing sometime this year (alongside Neil Nitin Mukesh and Amrita Arora) and hopefully a couple of television deals. Let`s see where that takes her!
Sherlyn Chopra
Despite a wave of newcomers swarming Bollywood, Sherlyn refuses to give in. The glam girl maintained her position in the top 10 throughout last year and 2009, seems no different. Call it controversial or just plain art, Sherlyn is here to stay!
Riya Sen
There`s not a wallspace without her photograph on it. Riya Sen continues to be desktop staple, thanks to a downloading frenzy that takes place soon after a new wallpaper of hers appears. However, the star seems to be losing the top spot which she once owned – and the downward spiral continues. But relax guys, the actress will have more than six films coming out in 2009 – expect the Big Bang.
Eesha Deol
Another big surprise. Hema Malini was worried about her daughter`s career after a lack of hits, but we ask where`s the fire? There are six movies releasing this year featuring the actress and if that hot bod fails to turn even one into a hit – then you`re looking at a conspiracy, maybe backed by the government! We wish her luck
Priyanka Chopra
She was 2008`s busiest actress but that didn`t help her through. Priyanka witnessed a massive slump in hits throughout most of last year and if you remember Drona, you`ll be amazed at how she maintained her sanity.
Then came Dostana, and daylight. Priyanka received postive responses from all quarters of Bollywood and she has now entered 2009 through the front door. Big titles, including Ashutosh Gowarikar`s What`S Your Raashee?, have her name in it and that`s just the beginning.
Deepika Padukone
At a disappointing eighth place is Deepika Padukone whose recent fashion fiascos at various CC2C premieres worlwide have hurt her appeal. Also, CC2C`s failure at the BO was seen as a career setback for the star who had shone in the immensely likeable Bachchna Ae Haseeno. What can bachchao her now? Two things – fire the stylist and keep hope!
Tanushree Dutta
Many at the Movies Desk feel she`s an untapped goldmine of talent but Tanushree Dutta`s career could be heading straight into the pond! There was that unfortunate controversy with veteran Nana Patekar, which in many ways, cost her a movie and then there was the resulting fallout.
The actress will have four films releasing this year- hope that kickstarts everything!
Ameesha
That wallpaper looks tame when compared to her dance by the pool in Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic. Ameesha seems to be generating the necessary amount of publicity to stay afloat in our list and with three big-banner flicks releasing this year – let`s hope the ballast stays.
