Resul Pokutty has created history by becoming the first Indian to
win the Oscar for best sound mixing for the film “Slumdog Millionaire”
Resul Pookutty shared the award with Ian Tapp and Richard Pryke for their work in the for their work in the Mumbai based drama Slumdog Millionaire directed by British filmmaker Danny Boyle.
“I simply feel elated. I can’t put my feelings into words! It is the highest recognition any film technician can ever achieve. To be the first from India to be recognised by my peers in the Academy in its 80-year history is a very, very fulfilling feeling,” Says Resul Pookutty after receiving Oscar.
